The people who support me keep me going

This is just a small post to thank everybody for their support of me. Without a wonderful husband who rubs my pains away, without my friend Liz who is running her second Cupid's Undie Run on behalf of me (and who also kept my husband company while I was in surgery last August), and if it weren't for my good doctors and my friends and of course my FAMILY who weren't there for me, I don't know what I would do. I am constantly grateful for your support- you listening to my whining, etc etc.

I see my new obgyn soon (the 18th) who will hopefully shed some light/insight on my ilio-inguinal pain and how I can deal with it.  I am positive this started slowly with the NF tumor near or on my genito-femoral nerve, and then got worse with surgery. I'll see. At least I have a new pain doctor who wants to help me through this too.

    um how had I never heard of this run before?! I wish there was one in like Charlotte, I'd totally do it! lol (atlanta isn't that far buuut...too far to go for a little run like this, haha)

Pain Management and How Much I Hate My Gastroenterologist.

So I finally met my pain management team today. The "team" consists of a pain psychologist and a pain physiologist. The appointment was set up a few months ago and it was great to finally see them today. Pain psychologist is really nice but WAY too touchy feely for me- don't know how to explain it but maybe it's just jarring to have a doctor other than my primary care doctor to actually react to the pain I've been describing. I've felt like I've been psychotic all these years. i'm finally vindicated. Well, I felt vindicated when I wrote my first entries of this blog. But YEAH. Anyway I need pain management because the pain comes and goes at random times and stays for ranodm amounts of time and the pain is intense... I mean really intense.I've been in a 'spat' for the last few days, so I'm happy I actually saw the pain doctor when I felt the pain- I usually see my doctors before the pain starts or after a bad spat.
